I have been helping people to have a more peaceful relationship with food and understand their patterns of eating for 14 years, and am qualified to work with all aspects of dis-ordered eating, including anorexia, bulimia and binge eating. If you eat too much, too little, or chaotically, I will help you explore the reasons for doing so, and help you make sense of it all. Alcoholics do not drink because they are thirsty, and you do not overeat because you are hungry, neither do you under-eat because you are full. Understanding what we do and why we do it is the cornerstone for any change in our thoughts, feelings and behaviour. I look forward to working with you soon.
I currently work with a NHS Weight Management service for people who are morbidly obese helping them to change their eating patterns and behaviour. I also have extensive experience as a Careers Guidance Counsellor, Personal Trainer, Sports Massage Therapist and Personal Development Coach. My interest in emotional/disordered eating stems from my own experience in the past of a difficult relationship with food, weight and body image. By gaining new knowledge, understanding and awareness about why we do what we do and how to do things differently, I will help you to discover a path to the healthier, happier you who can learn to eat and not worry about it.
