I am a registered UKCP Psychotherapist with over 25 years’ experience of working with individuals, couples and groups. I aim to bring a warm, empathetic but clear thinking approach to the work thereby helping you to gain deeper insights and resolve difficult situations relating to both past and present events.
To understand your eating you first have to understand yourself. This Programme provides an opportunity for you to move on from the patterns of emotional eating and take better care of yourself. As well as being a Licensed Practitioner with UYE, I have also completed a post Graduate Certificate in Understanding Your Eating with the Westminster Pastoral Foundation.
I am a BACP accredited Counsellor/psychotherapist. UKRCP Registered Individual Counsellor and qualified Supervisor for both individuals and groups.
I have extensive NHS experience as a counsellor in Occupational Health, youth projects, charities and in private practice.
I aim to help clients make sense of and understand their eating and how food may be used as a strategy to regulate emotions. I work with major themes for emotional eaters including the language of feelings, self soothing, self esteem, body esteem and relationships. I also work with attachment issues, trauma, childhood sexual abuse, addictions and shame.
I am based in Horam East Sussex and offer one to one sessions and group work at venues in both East and West Sussex.
